DIDOT FAMILY

The project emphasis was inspired by the 16th century French cartouche.  

The cartouche first appeared as a flat, curved-linear solid border around ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs and over time evolved into European culture. The typographic elements were created by deconstruction and reconstruction of the Didot font family using regular, bold, and italic variations.
